Here are a few pictures from our two day quad ride down by the Colorado River. We didn't actually make it to the river it required a two mile hike and we didn't want to hike that far.
This is Tina and I at a copper mine. The truck was American Floor Sanding Co. Phone ????
Here is a picture looking in the mine (Straight down). He bars over it, that is what you see on the sides of the picture
Couple of diesel engines to run something at the mine.
Here is some copper laying around the mine. They say the darker the copper the better the grade. Don't know if that is true or not, Kameron?
Tina sitting on some rocks next to some Indian writings (above her head)
Pottery and other artifacts left at the site.
And more
Some guy leaving his legacy of shooting a big ram with his bow and arrow. Of course this is about the 20th time he told the story and now the ram is bigger than he is.
More Indian writings
This was an old shack that it looks like ranch hands stay in. It was pretty creepy. I don't think I would have slept in it. They had a rain gutter that captured the rain into the tank in the front. It had water in it.
Here we are at our camp site. You don't actually see us, but we were behind the camera. The mountain in the back ground could be seen from anywhere on the trip. We didn't know what to call it, but from most places it look like, if I dare say a woman's breast, so that was too long, so we just called it the nipple for lack of a better name.
Trying to get your mom out of bed before sun-up, Didn't make it as you can see in the background.
Tina at one of the canyons
Better view of the canyon above.
Here is a natural trick tank. The tanks were below.
These red mountains were all over. It looks like they were there and the white dirt was poured over them. I thought they were kind of cool.
An old shack out in the boonies.
We are on the road looking down to where we needed to go. It was steep, rocky and windy.
Here is the entire gang. Ben Scow and his wife of about 3 months. Nice sun glasses huh. She says she gets comments on them all the time. Cindy and Bob Scow, our friends from years ago. Jeremy and Bobette Green, we we just met for the first time on the trip. He was upset that I didn't take another picture because he said he blinked. And of course the two good looking couple on the right everyone should know.
