Monument Valley Trip on Conference Weekend
This past weekend we got together with the Langfords in Monument Valley. It is general conference weekend we had their dog Copper and were returning him. The Langfords sent him over about a month ago to meet our dog Daisy and see if between the two, we might get a litter of puppies. They met alright, but Copper seemed a little inexperienced about this kind of business so we are not sure if anything will become of it. Daisy was a little shy also and would not come off the picnic table in our back yard.
Here is a picture of Copper. Fine looking dog but not the stud he thinks he is.
Johnson and Langford's looking good
The lovely Tina Johnson standing in front of the big W. That is probably not the official name, but that is what we called it.
Wow, matching tee shirts, Almost.
This is called Camel mountain. Can you see it
This is the inside of a hogan
This is the outside of the hogan
More red rocks. Aren't these same rocks on the Road Runner cartoons?
This is a picture of one of the mountains at monument valley at sunset.
Here we are having dinner with the Langfords monument valley. If you go there don't order the $24.00 sampler plate. Rip off...
Another photo at sunset
Trying some trick photography
The hogans at sunset
More of the same
This is some Indian ruins at Navajo National Monume t
The cave where the ruins are located, Noticed the full size tree's. Pretty big cave.
Again the lovely Tina Johnson posing to prove I didn't cut the picture out of a magazine.
Different angle of the same canyon of the Indian ruins.
Tina hiking out. Going under a pine tree that fell over, but is still alive.
The world famous Shonto trading post found on the reservation. Established in 1914.
I knew you wouldn't believe me so I took a picture of the sign.
Cooling our heels at Lake Powell listing to the Sunday afternoon session of general conference.
